1 Day : Marrakech – Ouzoud waterfall – Marrakech

We’ll meet you in a destination of your choice in Marrakech before embarking on the hour-long drive. Then head east from the city in a private 4*4 vehicle. Make your first stop at imi n’Ifri, a natural travertine arch that spans a deep gorge, where you can follow a trail to a jumble of boulders and a freshwater spring. Continue to the Ouzoud Waterfalls on a route that passes through High Atlas villages and rugged mountain scenery. Y our driver will wait for you in the falls main parking area as you explore the area on your own. This is the perfect place to slip into the river for a cool swim, or cross the base of the falls on a small, traditional ferry the expert ferryman guides the boat across the river on a fixed rope. Watch for the native Barbary macaque monkeys that cluster at the water’s edge. Then stop at a riverside restaurant for a traditional meal or tea. When you’ve finished visiting the falls, meet your driver in the parking area for the return trip to Marrakech, arriving at your accommodation at roughly 6pm.
Ouzoud waterfalls :
Two and a half hours of exotic road to reach the Cascades of Ouzoud, located in the heart of the Middle Atlas in the most coveted mountain range of Morocco. These waterfalls are the highest in the country and the most fascinating (about 100m high). You will start with a hike through the paths dotted with olive trees until you reach the huge waterfalls, where you can see the waterfalls that fall back and for the forming a panorama of magic and rainbow. At the foot of the waterfalls, you can indulge in the joy of swimming, or take a small raft that leads you to the other side where you can choose between many traditional restaurants for your lunch. You can enjoy a mint tea or a Berber tagine overlooking the waterfall. You cross the river, taking the old wooden bridge to explore the small village of Ouzoud and make beautiful encounters with the villagers. You will come across families of maggot monkeys accustomed to tourists who will welcome you in their own way !
