Program itinerary

Day 1 : Fes:

After picking you up at the airport we will visit Fez medina, from there we will go to the city. Fez is one of the oldest imperial cities in moroccan history, founded on the VIIIth century . The medina is from the XIIIth century, with its craftsmen grouped by streets. Supper and bed in the hotel.

Day 2 : Fez – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes:

Morning Departure for Meknes, visits to its Medina, or old city, and Bab el Mansour , the monumental gateway and main entrance to this 17th century city . Next, stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis the finest archaeological site in Morocco with mosaics, temples and triumphal arch. On your way to the village of Moulay Idriss, which is the holy founder of the first indigenous Islamic kingdom of Morocco. after lunch we will come back to fes . In the afternoon you are free to walk on your own.

Day 3 : Fez – Erg Chebbi:

After breakfast we will head towards the desert, in our way we will cross a cedar forest, Midelt harbor , Errachidia reservoir , the beautiful landscape of the Ziz valley , the city of Erfoud also known as “the gate to the desert”. We will see sunset on Borj d’Est, this peak is above the city so it offers some great views. Afterwards we will drive until we get to the Erg Chebbi dunes, where we will spend the night.

Day 4 : Erg Chebbi:

After breakfast we will take a look around the dunes. We will visit both Merzouga oasis, the nomads in kHaimas, the village of Khamlia (black’s village), Mifiss mines, the desert plateau and Tissardmine oasis. We will be back to our lodging by 3pm, later we will ride in the camels to see sunset on the dunes, we will spend the night in a wild oasis two hours from our position, in the heart of the dunes. We will sleep in the tent “khaimas”. A magical night!

Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge:

We will leave the dunes behind and head towards Erfoud in order to get to Tinghir where we will visit the “Fougartas”, an old sewer system of the XVth century . We will also take a look to the Tinghir palm grove, after that we will arrive to Todra’s gorges where we will rest and eat. Then we will walk around the city and the BOUMALNE DADES valley to get to Dades gorges. There the river has eroded the rocks to create a beautiful landscape. Supper and bed in a charming riyad.

Day 6 : Dades Gorge – Boutaghrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate:

we will start in the morning riding by the track that leads to the rose valley and the magnificent berber village of Boutghrart where we will drink tea with a local family. We will go on along the thousand Kasbahs route. Along this route we will stop to observe some Kasbahs, landscapes, valleys, nomads living in caves… We will arrive to Skoura and then head towards Ait Benhaddou Kasbah where many movies were filmed (Obelix, Gladiator , Sahara…). Supper and bed in the hotel.

Day 7 : Ait Benhaddou – Telouet – Marrakech:

After breakfast, We will go to the marvelous Kasbah of Ait Behadou where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed among others. also we will visit the World Heritage Site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.

Day 8 : Marrakech:

After breakfast, You will have a guided tour of Marrakech including a visit to the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saâdien tombs and the Bahia palace. You can explore the amazing medina and the fascinating Jamaa El Fna square with lively entertainment and lovely Souks.

Day 9 : Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech:

After Breakfast , we will depart to Essaouira . The main entrance to this splendid city’s harbor was built in 1184 and is called the (Porte de la Marine) and it is truly an architectural marvel. Sit back, relax and let the beauty of the sandy bay that sweeps to the south of this enchanting town and the wooded hills which dominate the eastern skyline captivate you. The narrow streets of the medina show a lot of craftsmen working jewels, wood… They are installed below the bastions of the city . In the upper side, there are some Spanish cannons from the XVI and XVII centuries. We will return to Marrakech to spend the night in the same riad as the two previous nights.

Day 10 : Marrakech – Casablanca:

We will depart from Marrakech towards Casablanca. We will visit the Hassan II mosque, the medina and the new parts of the city . We will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 11 : Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes:

Morning arrival in rabat followed by a brief tour of this capital city of morocco, sightseeing includes the Medina (old city), with its stone and white washed buildings boasting great, dark-wood studded doors, the Hassan Tower , whose intricate stone-work dominates the skyline and the Mohammed V Mausoleum housing the onyx tomb of the late king, afternoon Departure for Meknes, with visits to its Medina, or old city, and Bab el Mansour , the monumental gateway and main entrance to this 17th century city . Day 12 : Meknes – Fes:
