Day 1 : Casablanca – Rabat – Volubilis – Fez:
Welcome to Morocco! Arrival to Med V airport in Casablanca where you will meet your driver who will provide a brief review of your tour, you will have too an orientation tour of Casablanca the economic capital. The tour will begin with the exterior of royal palace and the internal visit of Hassan II Mosque. Visit the Jewish quarter (Mellah) with its temples and synagogues such as Bet-El, Em Habanim and Neve Shalom. You will have a guided visit through the Jewish heritage Museum for a glimpse into the rich and colorful world of Moroccan Jewry. Then depart to Rabat to visit the Chellah and Kasbah of Oudayas located next to the Medina within the ramparts of the old city. The Mellah with its narrow lanes and colorful courtyards, now the home of few Jewish families Continue to Sale as the birthplace of Rabbi Hayyim Ben Moses Attar, the famous 18th Century scholar and Cabbalist known throughout the Jewish world for his bible commentary the “hahayyim”. After lunch we head to Fes via Romain Ruins Volubilis who was a Roman settlement, located close to Meknes and 4 kilometres from the Islamic city of Moulay Idriss, dating from the 3rd century BC. Volubilis was a central administrative city for this part of Roman Africa, responsible for grain production and exports to Rome. It was also responsible for contact with Berber tribes who were never suppressed but cooperated for mutual benefit then we will continue to Fes to spend the night in a local riad.
Day 2 : Fez – Chefchaouen – Fez:
After breakfast we will start our journey tour across the spectacular Rif mountains toward OUAZANE and along incredibly dramatic landscapes, and then arrive into Chefchaouan a charming and truly unique town. Its Jewish heritage is visible in one of its most distinct characteristics: the picturesque blue rinsed buildings that line the city’s narrow streets. Spend the day wondering the blue Washed narrow alleys of the friendly _ medina. Visit the Walled fortress of the Kasbah contains beautiful gardens, near which is the small Museum and art gallery which houses the rich culture of the Rif Mountains. From the rooftop of the Kasbah view a spectacular panorama of the blue and White Washed houses, tiled roofs and tiny balconies. After exploring the medina, we will walk in the nearby hillsides with the wonderful and magnificent Waterfalls. The blue buildings are a remnant of a Jewish religious tradition of weaving prayer shawls With Tekhelel (an ancient natural blue dye). The town offers many native handicrafts that are not available elsewhere in Morocco, such as Wool garments and woven blankets.Then we will come back to fes in which we will spend the night in the same riyad as the previous night.
Day 3 : Fez – Ifrane – Azrou forest – Erfoud – Merzouga:
We went south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains until we reach Ifrane, called “the little Moroccan Switzerland” because of its great resemblance to that country. One of the animals that once inhabited here was the Atlas lion, for what has happened to become the symbol of the city and to which they have dedicated a stone statue in the center of it. We will take the opportunity to stop and take some photos. We will cross the famous cedar forests and we will be able to admire the Great Cedar monkeys, the largest millenary cedar in the region and also feed the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys that live in the area. Lunch in Midélt and from here the land becomes arid and full of spectacular geological formations and deep green valleys, such as the Ziz Valley . We will begin to see the typical architecture of adobe, palm trees, some distant Kasbahs … we are at the doors of the desert. After an hour after Erfoud we arrive at the impressive Dunes of Merzouga here you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea then you will ride your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore what is hidden in the middle of the highest sand dunes of morocco to reach desert camp. We climb high dune to watch the sunset in the dunes. Night and dinner in a deluxe luxury camp in the middle of the dunes. Here you will enjoy the night with a luxury dinner at campfire.
Day 4 : Merzouga:
After breakfast, we will start an explorative journey of the area. You will visit the Gnawa people – originally from Mali, Senegal and Sudan- in their village Khamlia, where you will learn about their music and their lifestyle. Later we will drive in the desert area to meet nomad families to explore their way of life. and explore desert area deeply. Then you will ride your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore what is hidden in the middle of the highest sand dunes in morocco to reach desert camp. We climb high dune to watch the sunset in the dunes. Night and dinner in a deluxe luxury camp in the middle of the dunes. Here you will enjoy the night with a luxury dinner at campfire.
Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge:
After early wake up we watch the sunrise in desert and then we ride camels back to village. After breakfast in the hotel/riad, we head to Rissani, then Tinghir, and Todra gorges. Todra is the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. We continue our private Morocco tour through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. We spend overnight in local hotel/riad.
Day 6 : Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech:
Today we’ll set off through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Kalaat M’gouna, is called “the rose city”, here we may purchase the rosewater, famous local product. We continue to Skoura and Ouarzazate, called “the Hollywood of Africa”. We may visit the local studio, used in movies such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ. Our private Moroco tour continues through the Tizi n’tichka pass, before we arrive to Marrakech where we will spend the night in a local riyad.
Day 7 : Marrakech:
After breakfast you will enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech. You will start the tour with a picturesque stop at the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque as the landmark of Marrakech which has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville. Your next stop is the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. Afterwards, you will visit of the 16th century Jewish quarter, the Slat el Azama Synagogue, and the 16th century Jewish cemetery. After lunch break, You Continue to the World famous Jemaa el Fna Square, which houses an array of food , snake charmers , local musicians, and fortune tellers. There’s nowhere on Earth like the Jamaa el Fna, the square at the heart of old Marrakesh. You will also explore the colorful Souks where hundreds of handicrafts. Night with breakfast in a local riad.
Day 8 : Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech:
After Breakfast, we will depart to Essaouira . The main entrance to this splendid city’s harbor was built in 1184 and is called the (Porte de la Marine) and it is truly an architectural marvel. Sit back, relax and let the beauty of the sandy bay that sweeps to the south of this enchanting town and the wooded hills which dominate the eastern skyline captivate you. The narrow streets of the medina show a lot of craftsmen working jewels, wood… They are installed below the bastions of the city . In the upper side, there are some Spanish cannons from the XVI and XVII centuries. We will return to Marrakech to spend the night in the same riyad as the previous night.
Day 9 : Marrakech – Casablanca:
Wake up early for breakfast and then head towards Mohammed V airport in casablanca at 08h00 am. That will be end of our private Morocco tour.
