Program itinerary

Day 1 : Marrakech:

Arrival in Marrakech Airport, pickup in the expected arrival time of your flight and transfer to your riad. Free day to make contact with the place. Accommodation in riad.

Day 2 : Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech:

After Breakfast, we will depart to Essaouira. The main entrance to this splendid city’s harbor was built in 1184 and is called the door of the navy (Porte de la Marine) and it is truly an architectural marvel. Sit back, relax and let the beauty of the sandy bay that sweeps to the south of this enchanting town and the wooded hills which dominate the eastern skyline captivate you, before driving back to your riyad in Marrakech for dinner and night.

Day 3 : Marrakech:

You will have a guided tour of Marrakech including a visit to the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saâdien tombs and the Bahia palace. You can explore the amazing medina and the fascinating Jamaa El Fna square with lively entertainment and lovely Souks.

Day 4 : Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades Gorge:

You will be met in Marrakech and driven to Ouarzazate through the dramatic Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m), over the High Atlas Mountains, appreciating the beauty of the landscape on the winding road through the Berber villages. Arrive at the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, a UNESCO matrimonial historical site which is now a house of many GLAOUI family members. We will have lunch at the Kasbah and continue to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa” and crossing the road of the thousand Kasbah with its fascinating sand castles and Kalaat Mgouna, the roses city, known for its annual festival during the rose harvest in May , and then continue to our hotel in the heart of the Dades Gorge.

Day 5 : Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga:

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive back to the valley to see the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes”, and the still standing 19th century Kasbah of AIT YUL. We leave the Dades valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley, enjoying the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley . On arrival to the Gorge, we will walk under the 300m high red cliff, where many Rock-climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. We continue our trip to Erfoud and Rissani where we have lunch. Afterwards, we leave for the village of Merzouga where we will go on our camel trek to the top of sand dunes, there we will take a great souvenir of sunset photos. Afterwards, we will come back by camels to our luxury desert Camp for dinner and night under the moonlight and thousand bright stars.

Day 6 : Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Azrou forest – Fez:

We will wake up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise, where the colour of the dunes and the shadows are an awesome sight before coming back for breakfast in the tents restaurant. Today , we will drive from Merzouga to the north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This way leads us to the Ziz valley , which river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we make a stop and from this high viewpoint, enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of AOUFOUS. We make another stop in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas where you´ll have free time for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon we continue our way through the Cedar Woods where, if we are lucky, we´ll see some monkeys. The next place we´ll visit is the city of IFRANE, situated in the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level. Its broad avenues, its urban development with perfect cleanness, the gardens, the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a swiss town. Ifrane feels misplaced in Morocco. That’s why it´s named the moroccan Switzerland, and if that´s not enough it has an important ski resort, Michlifen, About 6 pm we arrive at Fez, transfer to the hotel,

Day 7 : Fez:

After breakfast, we will begin our full day sightseeing tour of Fez, the most ancient city of the Imperials, founded by Idris I (789) and his son Moulay Idris II (810). We will visit the medieval Medina with its Medersas (religious Islamic universities) Attarine and Bou Anania, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. After our (optional) local lunch we will continue to Fez Jdid (new Fez), and return to our hotel. Overnight: Fez

Day 8 : Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss Zerhoun – Meknes:

After breakfast, we head west to get to Volubilis , the ancient Roman city and most important archaeological site in Morocco. Free time to visit the area Volubilis.
Ability to take a tour with a local guide to learn more about these important ruins. After enjoying the impressive Roman remains we approach Mulay Idris, one of the most important pilgrimage centers of Morocco. It is a small town where you can meet the most interesting of the medina in less than an hour. The third stop will Meknes, the “humble” the Four Imperial Cities of Morocco. In Meknes you will have free time to eat and visit the most important places of the city, step into its souk or enjoy a coffee in the square. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9 : Meknes – Rabat:

After breakfast, we will depart to rabat the capital city of Morocco.. Here, you will see the Hassan Tower , the Oudaya Kasbah before your check-in at your riad. Your accommodation will be in a riad at the heart of the Medina. Afternoon sightseeing includes the Medina (old city), with its stone and white washed buildings boasting great, dark-wood studded doors, the Hassan Tower , whose intricate stone-work dominates the skyline; the Mohammed V Mausoleum housing the onyx tomb of the late king, and the ramparts of Michouar encircling the Royal Palace.

Day 10 : Rabat – Casablanca:

After breakfast, We will drive to Casablanca, the commercial capital city and largest port of Morocco. In Casablanca you will see the Hassan II Mosque, the medina and the new parts of the city and the coastal “Cornish” seaside. Afterwards . Depending on the time of our visit, we may be able to enter and view the beautifully decorative tomb. End the day in the oldest city. Dinner and night in a hotel.

Day 11 : Casablanca:

Transfer to the Airport to the scheduled departure of your flight. Farewell and end of our services.

Day 1 : Marrakech:

Day 2 : Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech:
